Posidonia 2026 is officially over, but the energy across Athens is still high. It is always one of the best weeks of the year for the shipping community, and a great place to catch up with long-time partners, colleagues, and industry peers.
This year’s official theme, "Shipping: the backbone of humanity," put a well-deserved spotlight on the industry's role in moving 90% of global trade. That said, you couldn't sit down for a coffee or walk through the hallways without hearing about Artificial Intelligence, a conversation happening across almost every global industry today. But if shipping is the backbone of global trade, clean, reliable data is what keeps that backbone stable as these new technological and structural demands evolve. The event was a great opportunity to see how far these shared discussions have come, especially as Ankeri marks its 10th anniversary this year.
Between scheduled meetings, trade show visits, and evening events, it was a packed week for the Ankeri team. The discussions on the ground simply confirmed what we see every day: time charter workflows are constantly balancing commercial targets, fluctuating fuel costs, and the operational demands of compliance frameworks like EU ETS and FuelEU Maritime.
Handling these pressures effectively needs moving past the friction of fragmented tools. This is exactly where our operating system approach comes in. Ankeri replaces scattered spreadsheets and manual processes with one connected system for shipowners, managers, and operators, spanning everything from charter party execution through performance reconciliation to emissions settlement. Reconnecting face-to-face with industry peers and customers from around the world just reinforced how critical that straightforward, day-to-day clarity is right now.
We are leaving Athens with plenty of notes, valuable feedback, and a clear focus on the work ahead as we continue building tools that support the maritime ecosystem.
Thank you to the organizers and everyone who took the time to meet with us throughout the week.
