ANKERI PRIVACY POLICY
Ankeri Solutions ehf., Suðurlandsbraut 10, 108 Reykjavík, Iceland, reg. no. 451016-0750 (“Ankeri” or the “Company”), is committed to maintaining the accuracy, confidentiality and security of your personal data.
This Privacy Policy describes the personal data that Ankeri, as a controller within the meaning of Act No. 90/2018 on Data Protection and Processing of Personal Data (“Privacy Legislation”), collects from or about users of Ankeri’s software platforms, Ankeri’s job applicants, suppliers/partners, and individuals who contact or visit Ankeri’s website (collectively “you”), and how we use and to whom we disclose that data.
1What personal data is processed and why?
We collect and maintain different types of personal data about you. Different data may be collected and processed, depending on your connection with Ankeri and your use of Ankeri’s Services (as defined below), as further detailed below.
1.1 Ankeri’s software platforms
Ankeri operates a cloud-based software platform which allows shipping companies to stay on top of fleet data, performance and sustainability (“Service”). The Company's main activity is to provide the Services to legal entities. If you act on behalf of such a legal entity, we may process the following information about you, based on our legitimate interests.

your name and corporate email address to create your unique user ID.

login name and password.
We may also use your name and corporate email address for invoicing purposes.
We may also collect personal data on how you use our Services, such as information on activity of an account, preferences and settings, history changes made by you (“Usage Data”).
The processing of Usage Data is based on Ankeri’s legitimate interests of maintaining, reviewing, operating, administrating and supporting our Services.
1.2 Job applicants
We collect and retain various personal data about job applicants, but the data processed may be different for each applicant.
The following are examples of data collected by us from and about job applicants:

Applicant’s name and contact information.

CV, diplomas, cover letter.

Information from referees.
We collect personal data about applicants primarily to assess the individual's ability and capacity to perform the job in question.
The personal data we process about you is processed in connection with your application for a job with Ankeri, i.e., based on your request to enter into a contract with Ankeri. The processing of job applicant’s personal data from referees is based on Ankeri’s legitimate interest to find qualified employees.
1.3 Suppliers/partners
Ankeri has business relationships with various suppliers and other partners. We collect and retain personal data on our suppliers’ and partners’ employees and point of contact, but the processing may be different for different supplier/partner, depending on the role and relationship with Ankeri.
The following are examples of data collected by us from and about our supplier’s/partner’s employees and points of contact:

Contact information, for example name, email and telephone number.

Amount and break up of cost factors.
The processing of the above contact information and email communications is based on Ankeri’s legitimate interests to be able to communicate with its suppliers/partners. Processing of the above data is further necessary for us to comply with our contractual obligations with the supplier/partner for example to receive payment and collecting contracts.
1.4 Website and communications
When individuals visit our website, we may process certain personal data collected through the use of cookies, such as IP address, browser type, browser version, the pages that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other technical and diagnostic data. We use cookies to provide social media features and to analyse our traffic.
Further, we use Google Analytics and WIX to track website traffic.
When you visit our website you will be informed about our use of cookies, where we ask for your consent for the use of statistical and marketing cookies. You can always withdraw your consent. Some cookies are considered necessary cookies which are required for the operation of our website and are based on our legitimate interests.
In addition, when you contact us through our website or by other means we may collect your email address, corporate information and communication history.
This data is collected on the basis of Ankeri’s legitimate interest of enabling you to be in contact wih us.
1.5 Marketing
Ankeri may contact and send newsletters and emails to customers’ points of contact and others who contact Ankeri directly. In connection with such activities Ankeri collects the following personal data:

The above data is processed on the basis of Ankeri’s legitimate interests for the purpose of introducing people to Ankeri’s Services, continue business relationship with customers and enable individuals to contact Ankeri.
You may opt out of receiving marketing emails from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send or by contacting us.
2 Source of personal data and retention period
As a general rule, we collect data from you directly and indirectly, such as from your activity within the Services. However, we may also receive your personal data from third-parties, such as your employer who is a customer of Ankeri.
Except as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law or regulatory requirements, Ankeri is committed to retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which the personal data was collected.
3 To whom do we disclose your personal data?
We may share your personal data with third parties who provide Ankeri with services related to the processing of personal data and who require such data to assist us with managing our business and Services. Such transfer of data is based on Ankeri’s legitimate interests.
Such third parties may include consultants assisting the Company, such as lawyers and accountants. Third parties who provide us with information technology service may also have access to your data, as necessary.
Your personal data may also be disclosed to third parties as permitted or required by applicable law e.g., to tax authorities.
Moreover, your personal data may be disclosed to third parties due to regulatory requirements or in order to comply with valid legal processes such as search warrants, subpoenas or court orders. In addition, personal data may be disclosed or transferred to a third party in the event of a change in ownership of Ankeri.
These third parties may be established outside the European Economic Area. However, we only transfer your personal data to countries outside the EEA if such transfer is permitted under applicable Privacy Legislation.
4 Data security
The security, integrity and confidentiality of your personal data is of vital importance to us. We have implemented appropriate technical, administrative, and physical security measures to safeguard your personal data against unauthorised access, use, alteration, and disclosure, including access controls. In addition, we regularly review our security procedures to assess whether we must implement additional measures or improve existing procedures.
5 How can you exercise your rights provided under data protection legislation?
Ankeri is committed to ensuring your rights under the Privacy Legislation.
The Privacy Legislation provides individuals with certain rights over their personal data. Your right is however not absolute. There are for example instances where applicable law or regulatory requirements allow or require us to refuse to provide some, or all of the personal data that we hold about you. In the event that we cannot comply with your request, we will endeavour to inform you of the reasons why, subject to any legal or regulatory restrictions
Right to rectification: It is important that the data we keep on you is both accurate and current. If your personal data happens to change during your relationship with Ankeri, please keep us informed of such changes. You are also entitled to request rectification of inaccurate data on you. Considering the purpose of the processing, you also have the right to have incomplete personal data completed, including by means of providing a supplementary statement.
Right to access to your personal data: You are entitled to request access to the personal data we process on you and information on the processing. You may also be entitled to a copy of the personal data undergoing processing.
Right to data portability: Under certain circumstances, you may request that we send information that you have provided to us directly to you or a designated third party. This right however only applies when processing of the data is based on either your consent or our agreement with you.
Right to erasure: Under certain circumstances, you may have the right to request we erase your personal data without undue delay, such as where the personal data is no longer necessary in relation to the purpose for which it was collected or where you withdraw your consent or object to the processing.
Right to restriction of processing: If you do not wish to have your personal data erased, but do not wish for the data to be further processed by Ankeri, you may request that the processing of the data be restricted.
Right to withdraw consent: In case the processing of your personal data is based on consent you can withdraw your consent at any time.
Right to object to the processing: If the processing of your personal data is based on Ankeri’s legitimate interests, you have the right to object to the processing, following which we must stop the processing unless we demonstrate a compelling legitimate ground for the processing which override your interests.

Ankeri may make changes to this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our legal or regulatory obligations or to the manner in which we process your personal data.
