This June, the Ankeri team made its way to Oslo for a special occasion: the 60th anniversary of Nor-Shipping.
With over 63,000 attendees, this year’s Nor-Shipping edition broke records and reaffirmed its place as one of the maritime industry’s most anticipated events, bringing together maritime professionals, innovators, and decision-makers from around the world.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear the tone of the week would be forward-looking. Under the theme #FutureProof, conversations across the exhibition halls and around the city of Oslo focused on resilience, collaboration, and digital maturity — all critical to navigating the changing tides of the maritime world.
At Booth D2-27, we welcomed visitors for live demos and open discussions on how Ankeri’s modular software infrastructure helps shipping companies unlock the full value of their data. Whether it’s improving fleet performance or meeting environmental targets, the need for smarter, data-driven decision-making was a recurring theme throughout the week.
Ankeri was also featured in the HANSA.news Global – Scandinavian Maritime Special 2025, the Nor-Shipping preview exploring how Nordic maritime nations are reshaping the future of shipping.
On June 5, the fourth day of Nor-Shipping, coincided with World Environment Day. The push for lower emissions, better data, and smarter collaboration isn’t just about meeting targets; it’s about making real progress. Ankeri is committed to building tools that help the industry move in a better, more sustainable direction with clarity and impact. Fittingly, it served as a timely reminder of why these matters.
As the event wrapped up, we carried on a small Ankeri tradition: offering visitors a taste of Iceland in the form of fish and lamb jerky, hákarl (shark meat), and BrennivÃn (considered to be Iceland’s signature distilled beverage). What started as a casual gesture a few exhibitions ago has become a familiar end-of-week moment for the Ankeri team. And the Icelandic delicacy never fails to spark curiosity and conversation!

Our key takeaways from the week:
Collaboration isn't optional; it’s how progress happens. From panels to hallway chats at NorShipping, shared challenges led to shared ideas.
Data is only useful when it’s trusted and in context. Accuracy, structure and transparency are still at the core of digital transformation.
Sustainability needs practical tools. Decarbonisation goals are growing clearer and so is the need for systems that support real action.
The maritime industry is moving forward and fast. We are excited to keep building the tools that help automate processes such as hire invoicing to get there.
We’re thankful to everyone who stopped by — and we’re already looking forward to the next edition in 2027!
