Ankeri at 9: A Year of Maturing, Momentum and Looking Ahead

This year marks Ankeri’s 9th anniversary, a milestone that feels different. 

Not because nine is a symbolic number, but because the past twelve months have set the foundation for what our tenth year will represent: growing beyond the traditional boundaries of a startup and maturing into a stable, trusted and scalable technology partner for the maritime industry. 

Nine years ago, Ankeri set out with a simple question: Why are we in shipping collecting all this data, but not using it to simplify business processes? 

As we celebrate our 9th anniversary, it’s clear that the journey has always been about creating value for our customers and partners. Every improvement, every feature, and every module reflects a focus on helping shipping companies work smarter, become more data-driven, and tackle operational challenges with confidence to create a competitive advantage.

In 2025, we focused on making your day-to-day work simpler, safer, and more insightful.: Your trust has shaped us. from helping you navigate emissions reporting and chartering workflows, to giving insight into your operations, decarbonisation efforts and performance strategies. Reflecting on the past year, here are some important milestones for us: 

Growing together: Our customer community continues to expand. We’re proud to welcome new partners such as Seaspan Corporation, while continuing to work closely with long-standing, world-leading customers who have shaped Ankeri’s development from day one. 

A platform that grows with you: We introduced a renewed look and feel for the Ankeri Platform. The core experience has always worked well, but this year the entire platform received a thoughtful redesign: cleaner interfaces, faster navigation, everything connected in one place. Still the same Ankeri, just sharper, smoother and ready for the next decade of digital shipping. So that our customers can spend less time managing software and more time managing shipping. 

Across all modules, from chartering to performance, invoicing and emissions accounting, we introduced new features, improved integrations and enhanced collaboration tools. Our approach remains the same: build in close partnership with our users, listen carefully and deliver value where it matters. 

Regulation made simple: We supported customers through the first EU ETS settlement and began helping with FuelEU workflows—making complex regulatory obligations easier to manage. Turning complex regulation into clear dashboards, automated submissions and settlements between owners and charterers is what Ankeri has always put emphasis on, now on an even larger scale. 

Stronger, safer, and scalable: Security and compliance remain at the core of the Ankeri platform. Ankeri has always been the system shipping companies rely on when accuracy matters. In 2025, the foundations were reinforced further, and we have implemented SOC2, giving us foundation to ensure we maintain our high standard of security while continuing to scale our company and solutions fast.  

Expanding global network: This year brought us to some of the industry’s most influential stages including Nor-Shipping, Singapore Maritime Week, and the World Maritime Forum. These events allowed us to share insights, strengthen collaborations and connect with a wider global network as digitalisation continues to transform the shipping landscape. This year, we were recognised at the Ship Tech Excellence Awards, highlighting our ongoing contribution to digital efficiency and innovation across the industry. We also joined the SMDG community, reinforcing our commitment to interoperability industry standards and collaborative progress.

A team for the next decade: Behind the platform is a growing team dedicated to supporting your mission. We’ve strengthened our product, development, and customer success teams so that when you challenge us, we can rise to the occasion. 

Looking ahead to year 10: As we approach Ankeri’s tenth anniversary next year, it feels more aligned than ever with its original vision: enabling shipping companies to work more efficiently, make data-driven decisions and prepare for an increasingly complex environment. Our tenth year will be about delivering solutions that anticipate your needs, simplify your decisions, and empower your teams.
